Marbled Textile Art

I create distinctive artworks using traditional marbling techniques on silk and cotton fabrics. Working with water-based inks, I float vibrant colours onto the surface of a tray filled with thickened water. These colours are then gently manipulated into intricate patterns and organic shapes, sometimes intuitively, other times guided by a specific concept.

Each new collection begins with a series of smaller study pieces, which act as explorations that inform my larger works. I’m drawn to bold colour palettes, layered compositions, and repeated patterning—often infused with dynamic shapes and forms that bring each piece to life.

My work is regularly exhibited across the South East at selected art shows and events. I also have pieces held in private collections in the UK and New Zealand. In addition to my personal practice, I welcome commissions and would be happy to discuss any bespoke projects.
